White Christmas
Based on financial need, CHP provides additional food and clothing to families during the holiday season.
When qualified, families with children will also be provided with toys and gifts for their children. In
2005, CHP White Christmas provided food and clothing to 286 adults; food, clothing and toys were provided
to 365 children.
CHP White Christmas is also our biggest fund raising campaign; a time when we involve volunteers from the community, local churches, civic organizations such as Lions Club, Woman’s Club, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, as well as volunteers from Lumpkin County Schools and NGCSU. It is one time during the year that we are able to draw together most areas of Lumpkin County to raise awareness and money to assist those in need in Lumpkin County. The funds raised during this campaign provide the funds to be used for our Emergency Assistance program the following year and the food drives help provide what we need for food distribution for CHP White Christmas. 2006 CHP White Christmas Food List |
